Originally from West Yorkshire and now based in London, Cecil is a producer and engineer whose career spans over a decade. He has worked alongside acclaimed producers such as Flood, Catherine Marks and Rich Costey, contributing to records like PJ Harvey’s Grammy nominated I Inside The Old Year Dying and Earth, the debut solo album from Radiohead’s Ed O’Brien (EOB).
Cecil’s work has featured on Grammy and Mercury Prize nominated records, as well as in high-profile television and theatre productions, including the BBC’s Peaky Blinders and PJ Harvey’s score for the National Theatre’s London Tide.
In recent years Cecil has brought his extensive experience to the role of producer developing emerging artists like Alfreda and collaborating with established acts such as The Big Moon on their top-ten album Here is Everything.
In 2023, Cecil was named Breakthrough Producer of the Year at the Music Producers Guild Awards.
